Ongoing projects

Manufacture of electrical cabinets:

- installation of connection, protection and measurement equipment

- resistant to external influences, containing quality components

- layout and ductwork, wiring and component marking

- testing and certification in accordance with the norms.

The existing NPP Krško lightning protection system was not sufficient to protect against lightning up to 400 kA.

• Improvement of the arrester system: more parallel current paths, shorter arrester lengths and equipotential bonding.
• Protection of outdoor lighting: surge protection in power supply boxes and luminaires.
• Upgrade of the FP system: DC/DC converters, surge protection and protective terminals against lightning damage 
• Replacement of 18 Rosemount transmitters (without transient protection) with protected versions.
• Objective: increased safety against direct lightning strikes and transients.
