Environmental management

In the company Elmont d.o.o. Krsko we are aware that the care for a healthy and safe living environment is a fundamental condition for the development and guidance of our activities, which comprise assembly, engineering and trade. In order to systematize environmental and health protection we implemented an environmental management system according to the international standard ISO 14001. The leadership of the company thus decided to consciously undertake to protect the environment and preserve the natural resources on all levels of the company's business operation. Along with our services, we will ensure all the necessary activities that follow constant improvements in the prevention of pollution. Environmental protection is therefore one of the fundamental duties and responsibilities of all employees and is considered an integral part of company management.

We undertake to carefully conduct the environmental protection policy of the company, which comprises the following key points:

  • Harmonizing products and services with all legislative requirements, requirements of standards, technical regulations and valid regulations concerning environmental protection.
  • Through conscious environmental management, attract the attention of customers and the general public and in this way attain good references and augment the reputation of the company.
  • Constantly improve work conditions and equipment on the workplace with the aim of minimizing harmful effects on the health of employees and the local population.
  • Through the improvement of work conditions and additional training and education, constantly decrease the particle radiation dose to which the workers working within the radiological containment area of the Nuclear Power Plant Krsko are exposed.
  • Place particular attention on mutual relations with our business partners, subcontractors and suppliers in regard to their attitude towards environmental protection.
  • The management of the company strives and cares to ensure that each individual is familiar with the framework and current environmental goals, and is aware that it can in this way contribute the greatest amount to environmental protection, prevention of pollution and decrease of harmful effects on employees, all of which will indirectly contribute to the success of the company.


We understand that the company will realize its business strategy more easily if the employees within the organizational units of the company actively cooperate in the creation of environmental goals. This is why the planning of our business operation, production and services takes into account the constructive input and criticism of employees as well as external interested parties.
