


Quality assurance
The company Elmont d.o.o. Krsko undertakes to establish, document, conduct and maintain a system of quality management and environmental management and constantly improve its efficiency with the aim of complying with valid requirements for services and products and satisfying the customers.
We first successfully passed the certificate assessment for the ISO 9001 standard in 1998. In 2000, we also acquired the ISO 14001 certificate. In both these cases, our System of Quality Assurance and Environmental Management was certified by the recognized Swiss institution SGS International Certification Services, which also constantly oversees it. The acquisition of these two certificates further solidified and rewarded our long years of effort in the constant provision of quality services.
The Quality Management and Environmental Management System of the company Elmont d.o.o. Krsko is described in detail in the Quality Manual and the quality management procedures (Quality Management Plan, Environmental Management Plan, Quality Control Program Plan and Work Procedures Plan) and comprises all business processes in the field of engineering, assembly and maintenance of electrical equipment and installations in the nuclear power plant and other industrial facilities.
The quality assurance and environmental management system of the company Elmont d.o.o. Krsko complies with the following international standards:
Quality management is also assured according to stricter established criteria:
10CFR50, App. B, Quality Assurance Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants.
A particular stress within the quality management and environmental management system is placed on the following key processes:
- measurements of cable insulation resistance, winding inductance of motors, heaters and other electrical equipment,
- functional testing of circuits, fuses, switches and other electrical equipment,
- luminance measurements,
- inspection of electrical installations,
- measurements and tests on electrical installations,
- inspection and testing of the main distribution switchboard,
In 2003, we acquired a Radiation Activity License from the Slovenian Nuclear Safety Administration, in accordance with the Ionizing Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Act (OG RS nr. 67, 26.7.2002)
The performer of works within the controlled area must have a license for conducting radiation activities when the assessment of the safety of exposed workers indicates that individual workers who are temporarily exposed to ionized radiation or come into indirect contact with sources of ionized radiation may have received an effective dose of radiation exceeding the allowed radiation dose limit for the public, which amounts to 1 mSv per year according to regulations and international recommendations.
The Radiation Activity License of the company ELMONT d.o.o. Krsko is valid until 28.05.2013.
