Personnel is of strategic importance to the company Elmont. We are aware that properly selected employees and their successful management represent one of the most important aspects of the organization's integral success. No organization can be successful without employing quality personnel and constantly investing in it.

At this time, the company Elmont d.o.o. Krsko has 47 full-time employees. The educational structure of our personnel is diverse, while generally falling under technical sciences. The company comprises highly qualified engineers in the fields of electrical engineering, technology, energetics and electronics, welders, as well as economists.

The education level of Elmont personnel is highly homogenous. Most of our employees have university level education in various specializations of electrical and electronic engineering. The company also employs several mechanical engineers - locksmiths.

The rich educational structure of the company also brings a wealth of diverse work experience. Elmont thus employs personnel with long years of practical experience in various fields (also acquired abroad), together with young, recently employed workers who are the carriers of innovative ideas. Experience coupled with fresh knowledge and vitality is most often also the best formula for achieving the optimal results. Our company is well aware of this.

The company is very proud to be able to participate in the refits of the Nuclear Power Plant Krsko. Individual refits demand fast and efficient intervention and above all flawless work. To be able to comply with the general and safety requirements of the NPP Krsko, we must conduct constant training and education courses for all our employees, as well as provide all the necessary equipment to ensure the uninterrupted operation of refit activities. As the time span of the refits is becoming increasingly shorter and intervention must be rapid, the company is required to have a sufficient number of employees at its disposal to ensure expert and fast implementation of services.

Contemporary times are marked by the growing intensity of changes. The globalization of business, structural changes in the economy, new technologies, new work approaches and strong competition are just some of the factors that guide the operation of companies. The survival and success of companies is based on their ability to adapt to the environment - by acquiring new knowledge, an organization will succeed in adapting to the highly complex business environment. On the other hand, all the aforementioned changes demand a great capacity for adaptation from the individual as well. Knowledge and expertise acquired during formal education quickly becomes outdated. To maintain a competitive edge on the labor market and within the organization, an individual must constantly seek new training and knowledge. In this aspect, our company and its individuals share a common goal.

Education is thus becoming a fundamental activity from the viewpoint of the society, as knowledge is the source of progress in contemporary society, the viewpoint of organization, as knowledge represents the source of competitive advantage, as well as the viewpoint of the individual, since employees must constantly seek training and additional education due to the rapid development of scientific fields, if they wish to maintain their employability.

The competitive advantage of the company therefore depends on the appropriate education and proficiencies of its personnel. This means that the employees and their skills, expertise, competencies and habits represent the most important source and resource of the company and are the key to the company's success. All this clearly shows that education and training of personnel is a necessary and vital activity for the ensuring of development and the achievement and maintaining of competitive advantage. It is an investment and not a cost. What matters most is that the knowledge thus acquired is directly responsible for the satisfaction of our customers.

The company Elmont d.o.o. Krsko is well aware of all the above, which is why we support various forms of education and training and help our personnel reach their goals to the best of our abilities.

Because we believe one can never have too much knowledge, we strive to enable our workers to regularly attend various training programs that further complement their existing set of skills. In this regard, we focus on expert training programs, seminars and courses concerning state-of-the-art technologies and processes within the field of technology. The mission of the company is directed primarily towards the education (training) of young personnel, and repeated training and seminars in which experienced employees take part as well. Newly employed young workers are familiarized with the education and training plan as soon as they begin working in the company. We understand that a young engineer has a long road ahead of him before he can work with full independence and confidence. In the beginning, novice employees must first become familiar with the basic elements of the work, such as the exact technical aspects of a nuclear power plant and all the related work procedures.

Through our grant program, we also contribute to the development of perspective young personnel. From the establishment of our company onward, we have provided grants to at least three students in the field of electrical and mechanical engineering each year and in this way ensured a good foundation in regard to our personnel policy. We meet with the students on a yearly basis and listen to their wishes and expectations while they have an opportunity to present the success they had in their learning endeavors.

In the school year of 2008/09 we provide scolarship for 2 high school S and 7 students.
