Company history
The company Elmont d.o.o. Krsko was established in Krsko in 1993 and is, in regard to its ownership structure, fully privately owned.The company Elmont d.o.o. Krsko was founded when a group of electrical engineering experts then employed in the company Duro Dakovic from Slavonski Brod decided to start their own company that would engage in the maintenance of electricity systems and in refit operations in the Nuclear Power Plant Krsko. The group sensed the need of the market for a collective of highly trained personnel able to perform demanding tasks in the field of maintenance and assembly as well as electricity systems of the Krsko Nuclear Power Plant, which was the reason behind their decision to found a company with the aforementioned characteristics.
This group of quality workers cooperated on works in the Krsko Nuclear Power Plant already from the time it was built, namely between the years 1977 and 1982, and was thus able to acquire a vast amount of knowledge and experience which remains a pillar of their work.
It should be noted that the group of experts who founded the company had also acquired work experience and knowledge during the construction of power plants and industry objects in the countries of former Yugoslavia, Germany, Russia, the Middle East and across Slovenia. They cooperated in the construction of airstrips, ports, refineries, paper industry facilities and thermal power plants, which enabled them to acquire a wealth of knowledge and, even more importantly, practical work experience.
Cooperation between the company Elmont d.o.o. Krsko and the Nuclear Power Plant Krsko began immediately following the establishment of the company in 1993 and remains prosperous today. It should be noted that the company in 2009 celebrated the 15th anniversary of its existence and also the 15th anniversary of cooperation with its largest and most important customer and business partner, the Nuclear Power Plant Krsko. The company Elmont started out with a modest scope of operations, but its constant development in both the business and human resource aspects enabled it to transform its contractual cooperation with the NPP Krsko in the field of electrical maintenance and assembly into a full-fledged long term business partnership.
